How Funding Works

At the Escambia Children’s Trust, we invest in programs that improve the lives of children and families in Escambia County. Through strategic funding, we partner with community organizations that deliver high-quality services aligned with our mission: to ensure all children grow up safe, healthy, and ready to learn.

ECT awards funding through a competitive application process. These opportunities are guided by our strategic priorities and community needs and are approved by the ECT Board of Directors. We are committed to a transparent, fair process—and to supporting organizations that deliver measurable outcomes and long-term impact.

Who Should Apply?

We welcome applications from nonprofit organizations, government agencies, schools, and community groups that:

  • Serve children and youth (prenatal–age 18) or their families in Escambia County
  • Align with one or more of ECT’s priority investment areas
  • Can demonstrate capacity to deliver and evaluate meaningful outcomes

What We Fund

Our investments focus on five priority areas:

  • Early Childhood Development & Education
  • Health & Wellness (including Mental Health)
  • Family Support & Safety
  • Out-of-School Time & Enrichment
  • Youth Development & Career Readiness

All funded programs are expected to show alignment with ECT’s strategic goals and to participate in ongoing evaluation.
