Resolution 2024-20: National Flight Academy / Escambia County Public Schools Project

Details: The Board of Directors for the Escambia Children’s Trust voted on November 12, 2024, to approve Resolution 2024-20 authorizing the Executive Director to enter into negotiations and contracts with National Flight Academy / Naval Aviation Museum Foundation. Funding will be provided up to $1,190,620 to provide services to the children and youth of Escambia County.

Details: The Board of Directors for the Escambia Children’s Trust voted on September 19, 2024 to accept staff recommendations to enter into an agreement with Children’s Home Society to fund their unsolicited sole-source community initiative proposal in the amount of $77,658 to fund personnel to replicate their successful Community Partnership School model at Pine Forest High School, effective October 1, 2024-September 30, 2025, subject to the Trust’s annual budget and TRIM process. The grant will complement a $225,000 legislative appropriation to CHS managed by the University of Central Florida.

Purpose: To implement Year Two of the Escambia County Help Me Grow Collaborative.
Details: The Board of Directors for the Escambia Children’s Trust voted on June 11, 2024, to approve Resolution 2024-07 authorizing the Executive Director enter into an agreement with The Arc Gateway to implement Year Two of the Escambia County Help Me Grow Collaborative. Year two contract award amount is $1,315,452.00. The Board also authorized the Executive Director to amend the ARC Gateway contract to include three- to five-year-old children that would normally fall into a gap. This amendment brings the total year-two funding for ARC Gateway to $1,382,937.00.
